The Journey Continues

What’s true in life, is also true in writing. There’s an adventure around every corner and quite often, you have no idea where you’re headed, but you keep plugging away anyway. Everyday is a journey, at home, at work and on paper. In writing, however, you get to decide the ultimate outcome. If only life worked that way.

My journey the last few months has included plenty of obstacles. Through all the ups and downs, I’ve looked forward to the times I could sit down and dedicate myself to putting words to paper. Escaping into the world of the old west was a welcomed release from the worries and stresses of the things going on at the time. I yearned for more time and energy to indulge my creative side, but the universe had its own plans. Despite it all, I took a page from my lead character, Sarah Sawyer, and reached deep so I could push forward. Cowgirls are stubborn like that.

So, while my first novel was a labor of love and learning, my second one, was a marathon of persistence. Now, that persistence has paid off and I am excited to bring you the next Sarah Sawyer adventure, “The Price of Payback.”

One year has passed since Sarah Sawyer avenged the death of her parents in a quest that nearly cost her life.

Now the gunslinger is living a life she never imagined. No longer roaming the trails alone, she and Jo Porter, the woman she loves, live in relative peace, working a thriving farm of their own.

But payback comes with a price.

The lingering fear of unsettled debts haunts them both, threatening their newfound peace. When ghosts from the past come to collect, Sarah risks losing herself to the darkness she’d fought so hard to escape.

Can she pull herself back from the depths or will the harsh world of the old west finally break her?

I appreciate everyone who has taken the time to read or support my first book and I hope you will all find this story as enjoyable as the first. I look forward to hearing what you think.

So Cowgirl up and get ready for another wild ride!

Thank you to Cindy Bamford for her beautiful cover art and co-editor work. You have the patience of a saint. And to my beta readers for their time and dedication to giving me great feedback, I appreciate all of you!

“The Price of Payback” is due out March 29, 2016. Hard copies will be available at that time, but you can pre-order your ebook on Amazon HERE

  1. You are a very gifted and talented writer. You take into my imagination with the words of your story’s.
I would like for you to know, I have not forgotten about you, and what I said I will do for you and all of the smiles you have shared. Sadly what I said I would do is still not an option for me, my Mud Sister partner has been diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease, this is where I play in clay.
I do have another idea though, I’ve been doing wood burning a lot lately, I picked up a child’s size guitar that was no longer available, I’m stripping it now, so I thought how about a scene burned on it with Clover!
Peaceful thoughts sent out to you, all!
