A Different Kind of March Madness

Hello everyone!

I hope you are all staying safe and healthy. This is definitely a time unmatched by any in history and I am certain we will come out of it with new perspectives. Hopefully, that includes being more respectful of one another.

For those who are still working outside of your homes, much thanks goes out to you. No job is too big or too small. So many times it feels as if we are in our own little bubbles, but everything we do is global. The ripples carry outward. I know that many of you are in a difficult position during this crisis, but stay strong and take as many precautions as you can. Millions are grateful for your effort, whether they know it or not.

On A Happier Note: In an effort to add a little levity to these trying times, I asked folks on Twitter to chime in a few ideas of how I could brighten your day. On Monday I chose one of them and recorded my first “Whiskey and a Reading” with a whiskey cocktail recipe and an excerpt from Somewhere Between Love and Justice.

I feel like Jo would be a tequila girl and Jade, maybe like a margarita (although I’m pretty sure she would drink anthing). I could definitely see Carter trying out some fruity craft beers that Sarah would call sacriledge.

What modern day drinks do you think the characters of SBLJ would enjoy?

That was fun, so I think I will do a few episodes from different books. I will also work on a few of the other ideas over the next few weeks, so feel free to offer some of your own. I am open to most anything, It’s really all about you.

Other things I’ve been working on: I have been adding to the couple of stories I have going on and I’ve decided to bring on Carsyn and Katie from The Chemistry Test short story as side characters in a new romance I’m working on. If you haven’t read that yet, it is available for free when you subscribe to my monthly newsletter. *The next one goes out tomorrow.

I have started a new script, a post-apocalyptic/sci-fi type film (ugh, I’m so bad with the genre labels). I am also tweaking my SBLJ script based on feedback from the competitions it has been in. I’ll share some screecaps of the script in my next newsletter. Maybe one day Sarah and Jo will make it to the big screen. I seriously still love the hell outta this artwork by Rafi DeSousa. She is amazingly talented! Check her out at @tsparklingblue
